At Paragon Social Care, our mission is to support vulnerable and challenging children and young people who are in the care of the council, especially those transitioning between longer-term placements. In these crucial moments, we provide wrap‑around, 24/7 support packages tailored to each individual, maintaining a staffing ratio from 1:1 up to 6:1 based on the young person’s unique needs.

Your role as a Crisis Support Worker for Young People will involve not only ensuring their safety but also engaging with them on an emotional level to foster a supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Keeping the young person safe
  • Building trust and engaging in meaningful conversations
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Organizing and participating in recreational activities
  • Transporting the young person to appointments, school, and other essential meetings
  • Preparing meals and supporting nutritional needs
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the living space
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions

We are seeking passionate individuals who may have experience working with challenging young people, but we also welcome those looking to enter this rewarding field. Paragon Social Care provides all necessary training free of charge. You will need to possess the following:

  • Flexibility in your working schedule
  • A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle, with a willingness to obtain Motor Vehicle Business Insurance
