Be the Support. Children’s Support Worker – Paragon Social Care. At Paragon Social Care, you won’t just fill shifts — you’ll show up when it matters most for children and young people who need stability, care, and someone who truly believes in them. We’re growing our team of dedicated Children’s Support Workers and are looking for people with heart, resilience, and the drive to make a difference. We deliver 24/7 wraparound support to children and young people in local authority care, particularly during times of transition or uncertainty. Our focus is always on safety, emotional wellbeing, and helping young people move forward with confidence. And you could be the person who changes the direction of a child’s life.
Each shift brings something new, but your impact is constant:
- Providing safe, trauma-informed care
- Supporting education, independence, and life skills
- Ensuring young people feel heard, respected, and valued
- Attending appointments and community activities
- Transporting young people using your own vehicle when required
- Helping them transition positively into their next placement or future pathway
Experience supporting children or young people (voluntary or paid) is required.
✔ A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
✔ Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and sleep-ins
✔ Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply)
A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Competitive hourly rates: £17.50 – £28 (depending on shift type).
