The Role

We are seeking Children's Support Workers to provide consistent, compassionate care and practical support to children and young people. This is a varied role requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver trauma-informed care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships
  • Support daily routines, independence, and life skills development
  • Assist with education, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Prepare meals and promote healthy living
  • Advocate for the needs and emotional wellbeing of young people
  • Transport young people to appointments and activities (use of own vehicle required)

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional resilience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care) is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
