Ready to Change a Life? Become a Children's Support Worker with Paragon Social Care. This isn't just a job. At Paragon Social Care, we're searching for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individuals to join our incredible team of Children's Support Workers — people who are ready to stand beside young people as they heal, grow, and discover their potential.

Whether you're experienced in care or looking for a career with real purpose, this is your opportunity to make a powerful, lasting difference in the lives of children and young people who need stability, understanding, and someone who truly believes in them.

Who We Are: At Paragon Social Care, our vision is clear: "Excellence Through Understanding." We provide 24/7 wraparound support for children and young people in local authority care during times of uncertainty and transition. Our mission is to create safe, nurturing, and empowering environments where young people can rebuild confidence and move towards brighter futures. Because every child deserves compassion, opportunity, and unwavering support.

What You'll Be Doing: No two shifts are ever the same — and that's what makes this role so rewarding. As a Children's Support Worker, you will:

  • Deliver trauma-informed care to ensure young people feel safe and supported
  • Build strong, trusting, and positive relationships
  • Encourage healthy routines and develop essential life skills
  • Support education, prepare meals, and attend appointments
  • Advocate fiercely so every young person feels heard and valued
  • Transport young people to activities and appointments
  • Inspire confidence, resilience, and belief in their future

Every shift makes an impact.

Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience

Flexibility to work varied shifts (including weekends, sleep-ins, and waking nights)

An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent) is desirable — but not essential. We provide full training to help you succeed.

What You'll Gain:

  • Excellent Pay: £17.50 - £28.00 per hour (depending on shift type)
  • Outstanding Training: Online modules plus in-person courses including safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and PACE training
  • Clear Career Progression: Opportunities to grow into Senior Support Worker roles and beyond
  • Great Benefits: Flexible scheduling (agency role), casual dress code, company pension, referral bonuses

Every shift is an opportunity to help rewrite a young person's story — to replace fear with safety, uncertainty with stability, and doubt with belief. If you bring the passion and commitment, we'll provide the training, support, and opportunities to help you thrive while you help others do the same.

Safeguarding Commitment: This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to working with vulnerable young people. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is at the heart of everything we do, and all applicants must share this commitment.
