Salary: Up to £32,000 (DOE) plus performance based bonuses
Hours: 36.5 per week Monday to Friday

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Personal Tutor - Health and Social Care to support and inspire learners working towards their work-based Adult Care qualifications in either levels 2 and 3 or 4 and 5.

About the role:
As a Personal Tutor - Health and Social Care, you will deliver innovative, engaging and impactful learning experiences to a diverse caseload of learners working in Adult Health and Social Care settings. Using your industry experience and sector based knowledge, you'll coach and support learners through their journey while working closely with employers to ensure learners receive the best possible development opportunities and achieve their qualifications.
You'll use a variety of teaching methods and digital technologies to bring learning to life, ensuring every learner feels supported, motivated and ready to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate and support learners to achieve their Health and Social Care qualifications
- Deliver engaging teaching and learning sessions using a variety of delivery methods
- Manage and support a caseload of learners, ensuring progress, retention and achievement
- Conduct regular reviews with learners and employers in line with ESFA and learner journey requirements
- Provide constructive and impactful feedback to support learner development
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) ensuring portfolios are complete and learners feel confident
- Use digital learning resources and platforms to support off-the-job and workplace training
- Identify and remove barriers to learning, supporting learners to stay on track
- Promote progression opportunities for learners to continue developing their careers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with internal processes and funding requirements
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
You will be successful in the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Level 3 or 5 qualification in Adult Health and Social Care
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification (AET, CET, PTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to acquire
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade A-C)
We're looking for someone who brings sector experience, coaching ability, and a genuine passion for developing others, so this experience, skills and attributes will be essential for this role.
Experience required:
- Experience working within Adult Health and Social Care (ideally at a supervisory or managerial level)
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or teaching to learners in the sector
- Experience managing learner caseloads and supporting achievement
- Ability to engage, motivate and influence learners from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent and the apprenticeship landscape
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines and targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organisational ability
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Solution-focused with a positive, adaptable mindset
- Passion for inspiring learners and helping them succeed
- Access to a car and the ability to travel for learner observations, team meetings and 1:1s
