We are looking for a passionate and experienced Oral Health Practitioner Assessor to join our training team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners as they work towards their qualification. You will play a key role in guiding and mentoring learners, ensuring they meet the required standards and are fully prepared to enter the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess learners’ work against awarding body standards, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Conduct regular observations, reviews, and assessments both in the workplace and via remote methods.
- Support learners in creating and maintaining a portfolio of evidence for their qualification.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to help learners develop their knowledge and skills.
- Monitor and report on learner progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments and learner achievements.
- Liaise with employers and other stakeholders to ensure learners receive comprehensive support throughout their training.
- Stay current with best practices in oral health education and assessment methods.
Requirements:
- Qualification as an Oral Health Practitioner, Dental Hygienist, or related field.
- Assessor qualification (e.g., A1, TAQA) or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
- Significant experience in a clinical environment as an oral health practitioner.
- Strong understanding of the qualification requirements and assessment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their goals.
