Job Description

Work with a family-run business with experienced and compassionate staff who are committed to quality care and support.

Your role will include:

  • You will be responsible to the Senior Carer/Care Coordinator and through her/him to the Home Care Manager.
  • To be reliable, punctual, and conscientious in visiting Service Users in their own homes and providing a range of services, which will require you to work flexibly and unsocial hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • To abide by and uphold the Company’s ethics regarding equal opportunities and Service User choice.
  • Establish a supportive relationship with the Service User and their carers.
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
  • Attend Staff Meetings.
  • Report to your line Manager any concerns related to Service Users, Health & Safety.
  • Assist Senior Carer/Care Coordinators and the Home Care Manager in completing and updating Care Plans.
  • Abide by legislative duties regarding Quality and Safeguarding.
  • Bring to the attention of your line manager any concerns relating to Service Users, yourself, or other staff members.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, especially regarding Health & Safety, and adhere to the no lifting policy.
  • Undertake training to meet legislative requirements.
  • Complete the Company’s administration procedures and report writing accurately and promptly.
  • Follow the Company’s dress code, including wearing the uniform and identification badge.
  • Cover for colleagues during holidays or sick leave.
  • Work responsibly in isolated situations with Service Users and report health, safety hazards, or risks to your line manager.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as designated by the Company.

Training

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 \’Good\’ rating and an achievement rate of 71.4%, above the national average of 65.6%. Learners are supported through regular check-ins with a Personal Tutor. You will be allocated 20% of your working hours to study, enabling you to achieve the highest grades.

Prospects
