Position: Functional Skills Tutor
Location: Remote – (Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30)
Salary: Up to £28,000
We are looking for a driven, passionate and experienced functional skills expert to join us as a remote based Functional Skills Tutor to support our learners enhance their English and Maths capability. In this role you will guide and coach a diverse caseload of learners on a predominantly remotely by encouraging and inspiring them to complete their planned learning and development tasks throughout their learning journey. Using your passion for results and for all things learning support and functional skills, you will reach for the stars and deliver innovative teaching and learning to progress them through their qualification.
In this role you will…
- Motivate, engage and inspire learners to achieve their functional skills requirements in a timely manner.
- Conduct group and 1:1 delivery.
- Provide exceptional additional learning support as required.
- Collaborate with wider operational teams to ensure completion of initial diagnostic assessment.
- Use quality improvement approved resources to deliver impactful functional skills session.
Requirements:
What we need from you…
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in functional skills – English & maths.
- Training qualification (AET/CET/PTTLS).
- Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA/V1).
- Experience of delivering additional learning support.
- Experience of teaching functional skills.
- Experience of managing a diverse caseload remotely.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
