Responsibilities

  • Build and manage strong, long‑term customer relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Retain and grow existing accounts through repeat business and expanded training solutions.
  • Identify, engage and secure new business opportunities within your market vertical.
  • Deliver consultative sales conversations that uncover customer needs and align solutions effectively.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Represent Babington professionally at networking events, meetings and industry forums.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure high‑quality customer experience and successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in a sales, business development or account management role, ideally within apprenticeships, funded learning or a regulated training environment.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, with responsibility for retention, growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong consultative, solution‑based sales capability, with experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Knowledge of the UK apprenticeship and funded learning landscape, including funding and compliance considerations.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, challenges and opportunities and align these to appropriate training solutions.
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident analysing markets, identifying new business opportunities and building a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Competent in the use of CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
