Our client, a subcontractor who delivers high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector, is seeking an electrician to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis. The work will mainly be in Thetford / Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas.
Working hours are 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Approx 42 hours per week; these hours may vary. Long-term ongoing work.
The role: Electrician working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Thetford area on a reactive maintenance programme. This will involve carrying out electrical housing maintenance while offering a high standard of customer service.
Role requirements:
- Proven experience as a fully qualified domestic electrician.
- Qualified to Level 3 City and Guilds - 18th edition.
- Have own tools and transport (company van could be a possibility if required).
- Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.
- Full driving license (maximum 6 points).
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for electrical work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Both self-employed and PAYE options are available. In return, the client can offer competitive pay rates, paid mileage, as well as ongoing work. Overtime and weekend work available if desired. Longer hours available depending on demand. Van and fuel card provided if required.
