About the Client:
A Unique and Inspiring Role. We are supporting a young medical student (early 20s) who sustained a high-level spinal cord injury while on holiday from university. He is exceptionally bright, motivated, and determined to return to his studies and live as independently as possible. He has a very positive mindset and is fully engaged in his care and future. He lives in a fully adapted family home in Oxfordshire with a specialist care setup and strong family support. He is also one of a very small number of people in the UK to have a Neuralink implant, allowing him to control his laptop through thought. It's a fascinating and rewarding environment to work in. This is a meaningful, long-term package, where consistency and quality of care are essential.
Clinical Overview:
- Ventilated via tracheostomy
