This role supports a gentleman with spinal cord injury in a well‐run home environment. You will provide personal care, mobility support, equipment management (hoists, CPAP) and general assistance to maintain a tidy, professional care setting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing and hygiene.
  • Support mobility and transfers using hoists and other equipment.
  • Manage CPAP and other medical equipment.
  • Keep the home clean, tidy and wear indoor shoes in the house.
  • Communicate effectively with the client, wife and adult children.
  • Attend community outings as needed.
  • Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate care records.

Shift Pattern

  • Day: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Night: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Pay Rates

  • Weekday Day: £16 /hr
  • Weekend or Night: £19.20 /hr
  • Bank Holiday Day: £24 /hr
  • Bank Holiday Night: £28.80 /hr

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Essential: Clean driver's licence and willingness to drive adapted vehicle, good driving record; ability to work day and nighttime shifts.
  • Personal qualities: Kind, dependable, confident in caring for a male client; respectful of boundaries, positive attitude, clean personal hygiene.
  • No prior spinal injury experience required – full training will be provided.

Training & Support

Full training prior to start and shadowing opportunities to settle into routine; ongoing support from Paragon Home Healthcare specialists.
