Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded Healthcare Recruiter to join our Richmond Head Office team. This is a hands-on recruitment role for someone who enjoys sourcing candidates, making calls, moving quickly, managing a live pipeline and turning recruitment activity into real staffing outcomes.
We are not looking for someone who only waits for applications to come in. We need someone who is confident proactively searching for candidates, re-engaging previous applicants, screening quickly and keeping people moving through interview, compliance, training and readiness to work.
About Paragon
Paragon Home Healthcare provides specialist nurse-led care at home for adults and young people with complex healthcare needs, including spinal injury, neurological conditions, respiratory conditions, stroke and other high-acuity care requirements. Our care teams are carefully recruited, trained and supported by our Recruitment, Coordination, Care Management and Clinical teams. Safe recruitment, warm candidate communication and strong judgement are essential to the way we work.
The role
You will be responsible for sourcing, engaging, screening, interviewing and progressing high-quality care staff in line with live client needs, rota risk and priority vacancies. You will work closely with Coordination, Care Management and Clinical colleagues to understand where staff are needed, what each client requires and whether candidates are genuinely suitable for the role, location, shift pattern and package.
Success in this role is not just about applicant numbers. It is about suitable candidates being progressed quickly and safely through screening, interview, compliance, training readiness and into work.
What you’ll be doing
- Proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, ATS talent pools, previous applicants, referrals and other approved routes
- Reviewing applications quickly and contacting suitable candidates promptly
- Making outbound calls to candidates and keeping them engaged
- Screening candidates for experience, availability, location, travel, shift pattern, right to work and suitability
- Managing candidates through interview, onboarding, compliance and training readiness
- Re-engaging previous, dormant or stalled candidates who may be suitable for current vacancies
- Keeping every active candidate clear on their next step
- Maintaining accurate records in TeamTailor and other recruitment/compliance systems
- Working closely with operational colleagues to understand priority vacancies and rota risk
- Escalating early where candidate flow, quality or conversion is not strong enough
What we’re looking for
- Experience in recruitment, resourcing, staffing, onboarding or candidate management
- A genuinely proactive sourcing mindset
- Confident phone manner and strong candidate engagement skills
- Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accurate system use
- Good judgement when assessing candidate suitability, reliability and fit
- Able to chase actions and keep candidates moving without losing warmth or professionalism
- Experience in healthcare, social care, complex care, domiciliary care or compliance-led recruitment would be an advantage
- Experience using TeamTailor, LinkedIn, Indeed, Totaljobs, CV databases, Access Screening or similar systems would be helpful
Practical details
This is a full-time, office-based role at our Richmond Head Office, Monday to Friday, with participation in the on-call rota. We are reviewing applications now and can move quickly for the right person.
