Paragon Home Healthcareis seeking a lively,cheerfulLive-in Carerto support a lovely lady who has aSpinalCord Injuryand is partially paralysed.

The client resides independently in awell-equipped, adapted home in theAylesbury HP19area. She is supported bytwo live-in carerswho work collaboratively to provide consistent care while ensuring each carer has ample rest and support.

This role is ideal for someone who doesn\’t mindtraveling, as the client visits her familyoverseas once a yearand will need the carer to accompany her. Additionally, the carer will be required to assist withdrivingthe client to local appointments, shopping, and outings.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who values bothcare and companionshipin a fulfilling role.

With this client, you\’ll be engaged in a2-week live-in assignment, succeeded by a 2-week rest period. Following 1-week rest, you have the option to work with another client for 1 week.Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of ourStandby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.

Live-In Care Job Overview

As a Carer (sometimes referred to as a Personal Assistant), you will assist the client with daily care, activities of daily living, and mobility needs. Specific duties will be detailed in the Client\’s care plan and daily activities, managed through our electronic visit system. Responsibilities include personal care, spinal injury toileting, mobility support, meal preparation, and more. Comprehensive training and support are provided to ensure you can deliver the necessary care.

  • Observe and record the client\’s health status.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living.
  • Ensure the client\’s safety.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Notify clients of changes in medications.
  • Arrange transportation for client appointments.
