About the Role:
Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a Live-in Carer for a gentleman who has sustained spinal cord injury several years ago. He lives on his own in a beautiful flat in East Sussex BN23 area. He likes to be out and about and you will be accompanying him on various activities like hydro therapy or just for a stroll to the boardwalk. You will have the support of working with another carer and share the responsibilities of looking after the gentleman. The client is very organised and likes things to be neat and tidy. He takes great pride in keeping his home clean and well-arranged. The ideal carer will be someone who understands his need for order and can help maintain a calm and well-organised environment.
With this client, you’ll be engaged in a 2-week live-in assignment, succeeded by a 2-week rest period. Following 1-week rest, you have the option to work with another client for 1 week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home.
To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.
Live-In Care Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client's health status, and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
Job Details:
- Job type: Live-in Rota
- Pay: Rota: Shifts are usually between 2-4 weeks live-in at a time, which may shift slightly while things are being established.
- Pay rate: £142.07 per day
- Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement.
- Food allowance: Competitive food allowance per day, if applicable.

Training & Support:
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.
