About the Role: Are you a compassionate and engaging individual looking for a rewarding live-in care role? Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a friendly Live-in Carer to assist a lovely lady in Cheltenham-GL50 who has spinal cord injury following a road accident. She lives with her husband and a friendly dog, in a beautiful house. She requires daily support with personal care, medication routine, stoma care and mobility. This is a fantastic opportunity to offer support in advanced care under the guidance of our Nurse Practitioner team.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Live-in Rota
- Pay: Rota: With this client, you’ll be engaged in a 4-week live-in assignment, succeeded by a 4-week rest period. Following 2-week rest, you have the option to work with another client for 2 weeks. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home.
- Pay rate: £136.38 per day
- Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement
- Location: GL50 postcode area (Gloucestershire)
Live-In Care Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client's health status, and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
What We’re Looking For:
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1). We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You don’t need spinal injury experience, just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the client’s lead.
Training & Support:
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.
