About the Role: Are you a compassionate and attentive individual looking for a rewarding live-in care role? A sociable elderly lady with cerebellar ataxia requires support with all daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks. She enjoys a structured routine, attending church, and socialising, and uses a wheelchair independently with occasional assistance; soft diet and communication support are required.

Job Details:

  • Location: SW19
  • Rota: Shifts are usually 4 weeks live-in at a time. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home.
  • Pay rate: £139.81 per day.
  • Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement.

Live-In Care Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities.
  • Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
  • Observe and record the client’s health status, and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.

What We’re Looking For:

Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1). We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You don’t need spinal injury experience – just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the client’s lead.

Training & Support:

Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.
