About the Role
Paragon Home Healthcare are looking for a Live-in Carer for a Gentleman who has sustained spinal cord injury several years ago. He lives on his own in a house in East Sussex BN8. He likes to be independent and enjoys cooking in his adapted kitchen using home grown vegetables from his garden. He transfers using a banana board and has a swimming pool where he swims every day. He enjoys companionship from his carer and he is house-proud who likes his home to be clean and tidy.
Job Details
- Job Type: Live-in position
- Driver: Not Required
- Location: Newick BN8
- Rota & Pay: 4 weeks on/off. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home.
- Pay rate: £146.33 per day
- Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement.
- Food allowance: Competitive food allowance per day, if applicable.
Live-In Care Responsibilities
- Observe and record the client’s health status; assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities; provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence; arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
What We’re Looking For
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1). We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You don’t need spinal injury experience – just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the client’s lead.
Training & Support
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.
