About the Role

Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for female Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to support a young woman in her home environment. She lives with complex long-term conditions including chronic pancreatitis, hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos features, chronic pain and neurodivergent needs. HCAs will work alongside a Registered Nurse during the day to provide practical and emotional support, ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently.

You’ll provide person-centred care including:

  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Supporting bowel care routines under RN guidance
  • Helping with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Providing reassurance and calm, structured communication
  • Supporting activities such as shopping trips or light household tasks
  • Feeding her cats and helping with small home tasks she cannot manage

You’ll be supported by clear protocols and a Nurse-led team to ensure you feel confident and equipped in your role.

Pay and Shifts

Day Shift: 08:00-20:00 (£17.70/hr weekdays, £21.24/hr weekends) Bank holiday pay at 150% and Christmas pay at 200%

Experience: Previous care experience (complex care preferred)

Skills: Compassionate, reliable, and able to follow clinical guidance

Female carer required for personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
