Youll be working in the clients own home, where he lives with his wife and adult children. He has lived with his injury for many years and is very clear about how he likes things done. He leads a busy, active life and goes out daily with support from his carers, so being aconfident driverwho ishappy to get out and about is a must.
Your day will include personal care, supporting mobility, helping with equipment like hoists andCPAP, and generally making sure the day runs smoothly. The client values professionalism, good hygiene and a tidy appearance carers change into clean clothes on arrival and wear indoor shoes in the house. Where possible, a short introduction and shadowing shift may be offered before starting to help you settle in and get familiar with the routine.
