About the Role: Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a Spinal Injury Support Worker to assist a woman in Uckfield who has a spinal cord injury following a cycling accident. She lives in a remote home with her partner and son and requires daily support with respiratory care (Clearway cough assist), catheter management, medication routine, and mobility. She uses a wheelchair and has a well-established care plan and a supportive family.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12 hours | 9AM - 9PM
- Pay Rate: Weekday (Day): £15.29/hr, Weekends (Day or Night): £18.35/hr (weekends)
- Bank Holidays paid at 150% and Christmas at 200% (double pay)
- Location: Uckfield TN22
- Driver: Essential since the placement is remote.
What We’re Looking For:
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1). We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You don’t need spinal injury experience, just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the client’s lead.
Training & Support:
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You’ll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.

- Observe and record the client’s health status.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Ensure the client’s safety.
