About the Role
Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for female Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to support a young woman returning home after a long hospital stay. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by helping her transition safely and confidently into her home environment. She lives with complex long-term conditions including chronic pancreatitis, hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos features, chronic pain and neurodivergent needs. HCAs will work alongside a Registered Nurse during the day to provide practical and emotional support, ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently.
You’ll provide person-centred care including:
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Supporting bowel care routines under RN guidance
- Helping with personal care and daily living tasks
- Providing reassurance and calm, structured communication
- Supporting activities such as shopping trips or light household tasks
- Feeding her cats and helping with small home tasks she cannot manage
You’ll be supported by clear protocols and a Nurse Practitioner-led team to ensure you feel confident and equipped in your role.

Key Responsibilities

Pay and Shifts
Day Shift: 08:00-20:00 (£17.70/hr weekdays, £21.24/hr weekends) Bank holiday pay at 150% and Christmas pay at 200%
