Paragon Education is recruiting experienced and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to support specialist provisions and alternative education settings across Norwich. These roles involve working with pupils who require consistent support, clear boundaries, and strong relationship-building to engage with learning. You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, many of whom have experienced barriers to mainstream education and require additional emotional and behavioural support.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Assist teachers in delivering structured and adapted learning activities
- Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies
- Promote positive engagement and consistent classroom routines
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEMH, behavioural needs, or alternative provision
