Do you enjoy turning complex data into clear insights that help people make better decisions?
We’re looking for a Power BI & Insights Developer to join our team and help turn data into meaningful, trusted information for the business.
This isn’t a data engineering role — it’s about making data work for people. You’ll focus on developing engaging Power BI reports and visualisations, working closely with stakeholders to understand what they need and turning their requirements into clear, useful reporting. You’ll use your Power BI expertise and understanding of data to help colleagues make better-informed decisions, while building strong relationships across the business.
What’s in it for you….
In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:
- High street discount schemes
- Health cash plans
- 26 days’ annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
- Flexible bank holidays – take them when it suits you
- Car leasing scheme
- Hybrid working – offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.
What you’ll be doing……
- Develop, maintain and optimise Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and create clear, effective data visualisations
- Ensure data is accurate, consistent and reliable across reports and dashboards
- Work with different data sources and platforms to support effective data integration and data flow
- Validate reporting outputs against source systems to ensure accuracy and robustness
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues to maintain business continuity
- Work with data engineering and data science colleagues to develop data models and support in-depth analysis
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting, improve systems and enhance business intelligence capabilities
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience developing Power BI reports, with strong DAX skills including complex measures and calculated columns
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and ETL processes
- Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear business language
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimisation
You’ll also need to be organised, proactive and comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues and partners at all levels. A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required, along with a full driving licence.
If you’re someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and finding better ways to turn information into insight, we’d love to hear from you
At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability. Our work is about people – not just properties – and we’re always looking for ways to do better. If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you.
