Are you an experienced contracts manager who enjoys getting things done, improving services and making a difference to neighbourhoods?
We’re looking for an Estates Contracts Manager to lead the effective management of our estate services contracts and help make sure our neighbourhoods are clean, safe and well maintained.
From grounds maintenance and communal cleaning to tree management, pest control and bulk refuse, you’ll work with contractors, colleagues and residents to make sure services are delivered to a high standard, offer value for money and provide a great resident experience.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to challenge, improve and shape how our estate services are delivered.
Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2028

What you’ll be doing……
You’ll take the lead on managing our estate services contracts, making sure they deliver great results for residents and value for money. Here’s a snapshot:
- Manage the performance and delivery of key estate services contracts, including grounds maintenance, communal cleaning, tree management, pest control and bulk refuse
- Monitor contractor performance, carry out audits and resolve contractual issues to ensure services meet agreed standards
- Manage service charges, contract costs and expenditure, identifying opportunities to improve value for money
- Build strong relationships with contractors, residents, community groups, local authorities and internal teams
- Use KPIs, data and resident feedback to identify trends, address issues and improve service performance
- Lead and support colleagues, setting clear expectations, managing performance and creating a positive team culture
- Support strategic planning and identify new approaches that improve resident engagement and satisfaction
- Challenge existing ways of working, lead improvements and help shape the future delivery of estate services

What we’re looking for:

- Proven experience in contract management, ideally within housing, estate management or a similar environment
- Experience managing contracts, budgets, suppliers and service performance
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to improve performance
- A customer-focused and proactive approach, with the genuine interest in improving neighbourhoods and resident experience

This role requires of the successful candidate to complete a standard/enhanced DBS check. A standard/enhanced DBS check will show any spent and unspent convictions.
So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.
Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action , if any, have you have taken since your conviction.
