CARE SUPPORT WORKER - LOCATION: ALRESFORD, SO24
Salary: £14.32 per hour
Job Type: Day, evening and night shifts available
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and committed Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a happy and sociable young man in his own home.
The client lives with: Juvenile Battern Disease, Epilepsy, Childhood Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Registered Blindness.
Despite the challenges he faces, he is a very young man who loves life and enjoys shopping, DVDs and films, board games, swimming, laughing, car boot sales, charity shops and action men/doctor who.
Requirements
- Deliver person-centred care tailored to the client’s needs
- Support with personal care (always with dignity and respect)
- Monitoring and responding to seizures
- Following care and medication plans
- Providing reassurance and emotional support
- Build a positive, trusting relationship through companionship
- Keep accurate records and communicate with family and professionals
- Create a safe, happy, and supportive environment
What We’re Looking For
- Full, clean driving licence preferred but not essential.
- Experience in care/support (especially personal care)
- Willingness to learn full epilepsy training provided!
- Calm, confident, and reassuring in all situations
- Great communication and people skills
- A kind, dependable, and compassionate nature
- Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy or complex needs would be benefical but not essential as full training will be provided.
Shift Pattern
- 07:00am - 17:30pm – Days Shifts
- 08:00am - 11:00am – Driver required
- 15:00pm - 20:00pm – Driver required
- 17:30pm - 20:00pm – Evenings
- 20:00pm - 08:00am – Night Shifts
