HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT LOCATION: HOOK, HAMPSHIRE
Salary: £14.32 per hour
Job Type: Part Time Weekends / Full time Days and Nights | Permanent Role
The Role:
We’re looking for a kind, reliable, and compassionate female support worker to support a gentleman in his 40s to live independently in his own home. This is not just a job — it’s an opportunity to build a meaningful connection and improve someone’s quality of life.
Conditions include:
- Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
- Dystonic Right Foot
- Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS)
- Epilepsy
- Chronic Prostatitis
- Gastrointestinal complications related to EDS
- Urological issues

Split shifts:
- 2 hours in the morning

What You’ll Be Doing
Every day is different, but you’ll be supporting with:
- Daily routines and personal independence
- Mobility and gentle physical support
- Preparing meals
- Light household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
Most importantly, you’ll be helping someone feel valued, supported, and understood.
Specification
Our client is looking for the following attributes:
- Someone warm, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable supporting someone with complex health needs (training provided!)
- Calm, positive, and a good communicator
- Flexible to occasionally pick up extra shifts
- Care experience is great, but personality and compassion matter most
