FEMALE PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTS / CARERS
LOCATION: HEATHFIELD, TN21
Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities | Morning, afternoon and evening calls, with occasional sleep-in cover
Harland Care Services Ltd is seeking experienced Female Personal Care Assistants / Carers to support a female client living in TN21 Heathfield.
This role is open to female applicants only due to a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010
This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate, reliable, and professional care staff with experience in personal care, supporting medication administration via Peg.
The client’s condition is expected to progress over time, resulting in an increase in their care needs. As their condition deteriorates, they will require assistance with all aspects of their day-to-day care and support.
Specification
Working in a client’s home with existing staff and supporting them in the community, the successful candidates will be positive, pro-active, caring, protective and enthusiastic, the support team will receive training in several clinical tasks, including:
- Peg Care and Management
- Medication administration via Peg
- Oral suction and nebulizer
- Electric wheelchair user
Experience in working with clients with the above requirements is desirable. Following training, there will be a period of shadow shifts working with the client and those who have cared for her previously. Therefore, these shadow shifts are vital to establish an understanding of each other.
Shift Patterns
- 10AM - 12 Noon - AM Call
- 2.30PM -3.30 PM- PM Call
- 6.00 - 7.30PM - Evening Call
- Occasional cover sleep-ins required Monday to Sunday
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Preferred
- Drivers Licence is a must
- Full-time hours and Part-time hours
