The Nodes Infrastructure team at Chainalysis operates with the primary goal of building a robust, scalable, and efficient platform for onboarding new blockchain networks. This team is a part of the Network Lifecycle Management Team (NLM) and collaborates closely with the Developer Platform team to leverage provided primitives. A successful engineer for our nodes infrastructure team brings expertise in various areas including AWS services, Kubernetes and data streaming technologies. You’ll possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges, with additional knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.
In This Role, You’ll:
- Operate and evolve highly available and performant engineering platform services such as Kubernetes, Artifactory and CICD Platforms
- Enable Blockchain Foundations teams to avoid hand-offs through self-serve engineering platform services
- Reduce the barriers for protocol engineers at Chainalysis to deploy new blockchain networks
- Champion best practices for monitoring and observability
- Harden production systems (maintain uptime targets, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery and security requirements)
- Share innovative ideas and contribute to the team roadmap
- Work with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues
- Develop best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka)
We’re Looking For Candidates Who Have:
- An understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, and Lambda
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong coding experience with GoLang, Java or Python
- Experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting tooling to automate common development processes, reducing the manual effort required to execute tasks
- Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Streaming experience with Kafka, Kinesis or similar
Nice To Have Experience:
- Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry - or a strong desire to learn (we can help!)
- Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment
