About Us: We are a small, family-run company based in the southwest of England, with a proven track record of providing high-quality lift installation services to clients across the country. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Lift Installer to join our team.
The Role: As an Assistant Lift Installer, you will be responsible for assisting our lead lift installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of lift systems. This role involves working on-site at customer locations, which may include commercial, residential, and public buildings in southwest of England, central London, and occasionally nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead lift installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of lift systems
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Carry out routine inspections and testing of lift systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in lift systems
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Be willing to travel to customer sites as required
- Keeping job sites neat and tidy
- Unloading deliveries of materials and equipment (by hand or with mechanical assistance)
- Loading and unloading the van
- Driving to various locations
- Preparing for the next task with relevant tools, equipment, and materials
- Staying away from home semi-regularly, with a focus on remaining local when possible
Requirements:
- Strong practical skills and a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A full UK driving license
