Our client is seeking a Head of Business Development to drive new business and account growth across UK Central Government and ALBs. This is a senior client services role focused on winning and expanding multi-million-pound consultancy engagements through CCS frameworks and DPS, working closely with the Business Development Director and supporting delivery teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead new-logo acquisition across UK Central Government departments and ALBs
- Own and deliver and contribute towards annual new business target
- Shape, price and win consultancy opportunities via CCS frameworks and DPS
- Build and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue
- Lead compliant, value-for-money proposals and close complex deals
- Manage senior government stakeholders and maintain high client satisfaction
- Partner with delivery teams to ensure alignment between sales commitments and delivery
Required experience
- Proven consultancy or professional services sales experience in UK Central Government
- Demonstrable track record of £5m+ sales wins year-on-year
- Strong understanding of CCS frameworks, DPS and public sector procurement
- Experience breaking into new government departments and growing accounts
- Confident engaging senior civil servants and delivery leaders
