Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our Roofing Repairs Team as part of our growing Direct Labour Operations (DLO). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and repairing roofs for our properties, ensuring safety, durability, and excellence in service delivery to our customers.
As a Roofer in our Roofing Repairs Team, you will independently carry out day-to-day roofing maintenance and repairs. Tasks include fixing damaged parts (e.g., broken shingles), setting up systems such as insulation and vapor barriers, and constructing robust roofs that protect against weather conditions. You will work unsupervised, adhering to health and safety regulations and Paradigm's policies to deliver top quality results. You will need strong proficiency in handling various materials (e.g., wood, asphalt) and tools, such as roofing hatchets and shingle cutters. The ability to work at height, on ladders, and scaffolds for extended periods is essential. Knowledge of flat or pitched roofing styles is required, and additional skills in minor carpentry will be an advantage.

Essential Criteria:
- Relevant City & Guilds qualification, NVQ, or equivalent experience in roofing trades.
- Proven experience in roofing maintenance and repairs, with expertise in flat or pitched roofing.
- Physical fitness, good balance, and ability to work at heights for long hours.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Sound knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and health and safety standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Minor carpentry skills to complement roofing repairs.
- Ability to mentor or guide apprentices as required.
