We are now looking for practical, hands-on Mobile Estate Technicians to help us deliver high quality estate services that keep our communal areas clean, safe and well-maintained for residents.

About the role

We are now recruiting for our final Mobile Estate Technician to complete our newly mobileised team. You will work as part of a mobile team delivering a wide range of estate services, including jet washing, bin cleaning, bulk waste removal, communal window cleaning and other estate-based tasks. You will travel across our neighbourhoods, ensuring communal spaces are clean, safe and welcoming. You will also act as a visible representative of SettleParadigm, engaging with residents and colleagues while carrying out your duties. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using equipment and machinery, and taking pride in improving the areas where our residents live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove and safely dispose of bulky and hazardous (non-asbestos) waste
  • Operate jet-washing equipment, bin-cleaning machinery and other estate tools
  • Clean external and internal communal windows up to the 4th floor using reach-and-wash systems, ladders and manual methods
  • Keep housing land clean, removing graffiti and maintaining communal areas
  • Complete daily work records using mobile devices, including locations, weights and job details
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles and supplies, reporting faults promptly
  • Clear blocked gullies, drains and stack pipes using jet wash and SkyVac equipment
  • Carry out minor repairs and improvements such as small painting jobs, planting and signage installation
  • Support resident engagement events and provide basic estate service advice
  • Identify and report incidents of anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns or criminal activity
  • Work collaboratively with other Mobile Estate Technicians and estate cleaning teams
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, following Health & Safety legislation, RAMS and SettleParadigm procedures

What We're Looking For

Must haves:

  • Experience in roles involving significant manual handling
  • Experience delivering mobile front-line services
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety, RAMS and correct manual handling techniques
  • Basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills (including mobile apps)
  • Fluent spoken English
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage time well and stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to inspect vehicles/equipment and recognise hazards
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues

Nice to haves:

  • Experience using commercial jet washers or bin-cleaning equipment
  • Experience working in social housing
  • Basic understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Knowledge of waste management
