We are now looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Kitchen and Bathroom Team. This is not just another electrician job. It is a role where your work directly improves the safety, comfort and quality of our customers' homes.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role within our Direct Labour Organisation where you will see the impact of your work every day. You will be part of a specialist team delivering electrical installations and upgrades as part of our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mark out and chase for new sockets
  • Drill core holes for ventilation fans
  • Install and upgrade alarms including heat alarms and smoke alarms
  • Run trunking and containment
  • Wire ring and radial circuits
  • Connect and test installations
  • Complete certification to a high standard
  • Carry out consumer unit changes
  • Remove redundant circuits
  • Install lighting and bathroom fans
  • Second fix sockets and accessories
  • Assist the wider Kitchen & Bathroom team with support

What We're Looking For:

Must haves:

  • Extensive experience in domestic electrical work including installation, fault finding, repairs and rewires
  • City and Guilds Level Two and Three or equivalent and Eighteenth Edition qualification
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and Codes of Practice
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to make informed decisions using initiative
  • Clear communication skills
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Full valid UK manual driving licence

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in social housing or similar environments
  • Familiarity with multi-trade tasks alongside electrical work
