Due to continued growth and the recent acquisition of a significant number of properties, Paradigm Housing Group is expanding its Fire team. We’re now looking for two experienced Fire Risk Carpenters to join our Fire Risk/Compliance Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role: What You\’ll Be Doing
You’ll be at the forefront of fire safety, carrying out essential tasks to ensure the safety and compliance of our properties. Your key responsibilities will include:
Fire Door Installation and Maintenance – Installing and maintaining fire doors to certified FIRAS and BM Trada standards.
Fire Stopping – Completing fire stopping installations to the highest standards.
General FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) Maintenance – Performing general carpentry, joinery, and reactive maintenance. Certifying all work to the required standards with complete attention to detail.
As part of our Compliance Team, you’ll work both independently and collaboratively, delivering excellent service to tenants while taking ownership of your work and ensuring all tasks meet approved codes of practice and regulations.
What We\’re Looking For
Qualifications: Relevant City and Guilds Part 1 and Part 2, NVQ2, or equivalent experience in carpentry and joinery (essential).
Certifications: FIRAS or BM Trada Fire Door Maintenance, Installation, or Fire Stopping certifications (preferred but not essential).
Experience: Proven experience in housing repairs, maintenance, and working within occupied homes.
Expertise: A sound understanding of passive fire risk works, small building projects, and general maintenance (including carpentry, joinery, plastering, basic plumbing, and tiling).
Attributes: Strong problem solving skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to high quality customer service.
Other: A full (preferably clean) driving licence.

Location / Area of Work:
This is a predominantly mobile role, covering our property portfolio across a wide geographical area, including Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, parts of Greater London, and surrounding regions.
We operate from two main office locations:
- Head Office – Wooburn Green (near High Wycombe):You’ll attend this site for training, team meetings, and corporate events.
- Chesham Office:Used primarily as a store\’s facility and a stop-off point for our Technicians.
