We are seeking an experienced Window and Door Fitter to join our Planned Works (UPVC) team. This vacancy has arisen due to an internal job move, with one of our UPVC Installers transitioning from Direct Labour Operations to an office-based role within our Reactive team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various window and door systems, including UPVC, Aluminium, Composite, and Wood, in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will work in a team of two, delivering high quality service to our customers in their homes. A friendly and polite manner is as important as competence and high standards of work in your trade.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and maintain window and door systems (UPVC, Aluminium, Composite, and Wood) in accordance with relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Accurately measure for glazing, windows, and doors, and follow drawings and plans for installation.
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance services on window glazing systems, door systems, and fixtures.
- Conduct interior and exterior trim repairs to cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in homes.
- A fully equipped hybrid van (we handle insurance renewals and services) and a fuel card to ensure you can get around easily.
- An electronic tablet to access your scheduled jobs and our intranet for the latest company news.
- A mobile phone, work clothing.
- A minimum of 5 or more years’ experience with UPVC Installation.
- Relevant qualifications/certifications or substantial experience in window and door fitting.
- Experience and knowledge of various window and door systems (UPVC, Aluminium, Composite, and Wood) in different building types.
Areas of Operation: Our properties/operations currently cover Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and some surrounding counties.
