Join Paradigm Housing Group to apply for the Housing Retrofit Assessor role. We are the largest housing group in the region, managing over 27,000 homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire. The role is hybrid, combining office work in High Wycombe, remote duties, and visiting residents’ homes to conduct high‑quality EPC assessments that reliably inform retrofit delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Retrofit Surveying Manager and Retrofit Delivery Team to identify suitable properties for retrofit works.
- Communicate the benefits of good retrofit practices and energy‑efficiency standards to residents.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of retrofit processes and improvements.
- Undertake assessments, inspections, and validation of proposed retrofit property lists, arranging repairs where required.
- Participate in regular Retrofit Project meetings, contributing findings and monitoring progress.
- Collaborate with the Customer Liaison Manager and stakeholders to engage customers and ensure successful retrofit outcomes.
- Prioritise homes with an EPC less than C to enable planned retrofit works, aiming for a minimum EPC band C by 2030 and Net Zero thereafter.
What We’re Looking For
Must Haves
- Experience in correctly identifying building construction.
- Experience in identifying existing EEMs (Energy Efficiency Measures).
- Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor with minimum 2 years PQE.
- Level 4 Retrofit Assessor with minimum 2 years PQE.
- Level 3 qualified in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings.
- Friendly, approachable, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective organisational skills, prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
- Resilience to respond to changing project circumstances.
- Excellent customer‑care skills, working with diverse customer needs.
- A full driving licence (clean licence preferred) and car.
- Flexible approach, working out of office hours and occasional evening meetings.
Nice to Haves
- Background delivering energy‑efficiency measures to house holders, tenants, and landlords.
- Previous social housing experience.
