About The Role

We’re looking for an Asset Legal Coordinator to support our Disrepair & Intervention team. This is an important role that helps us manage legal cases properly, keep our records accurate and make sure we’re meeting our responsibilities to residents. You’ll be the person who brings everything together from preparing legal packs, checking documents, chasing missing information, to ensure cases move in the right direction. You don’t need to be a lawyer, but you do need to be organised, careful with detail and confident working with sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing disrepair disclosure packs in line with the Pre‑Action Protocol
  • Compiling non‑access packs for EICRs, LGSRs and Stock Condition Surveys
  • Checking documentation to make sure it’s complete, accurate and follows internal processes
  • Liaising with internal teams to gather missing records or repairs history
  • Submitting packs to the Legal team and ensuring everything is correct before it goes
  • Tracking and monitoring cases, keeping clear notes and chasing updates
  • Escalating delays or issues to the Disrepair & Intervention Manager
  • Providing day‑to‑day admin support to help the team run smoothly

You’ll do well in this role if you’re someone who:

  • Likes things to be organised and accurate
  • Enjoys working through documents and checking details
  • Communicates clearly with colleagues, residents and external partners
  • Can manage several tasks at once without losing track
  • Is comfortable handling sensitive information
  • Takes pride in doing things properly and following processes
  • Works well with others and isn’t afraid to chase or question something when needed

Must haves:

  • Experience in an administrative or support role, ideally in housing, repairs, compliance or legal
  • Experience preparing or collating case files or legal packs
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence checking documents
  • Understanding of data protection and experience redacting sensitive information
  • Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working with internal teams to gather information
  • Ability to track case progress and provide updates
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of the Pre‑Action Disrepair Protocol
  • Awareness of housing compliance basics (gas safety, electrical safety, stock condition records)

Benefits

  • Annual salary: £32,016 per annum
  • 25 days holiday, increasing with service, plus Christmas closure and buy options
  • Generous pension scheme – up to 9.5% employer contribution via salary sacrifice
  • Family-friendly leave: Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave
  • Health cash plan – claim up to £1,800 for everyday health costs (plus free kids’ cover)
  • Life cover and income protection
  • Flexible working – hybrid options, modern offices, free parking & EV charging

And that’s just the beginning! We’re also thrilled to provide:

  • Mental Health First Aiders available to support
  • Car leasing via salary sacrifice (for permanent colleagues subject to conditions)
  • Funded training, qualifications & apprenticeships
  • 3 paid volunteering days in the local communities
  • Peer-recognition rewards platform
  • Paid professional subscription (one per year)

Working Hours & Additional Pay

37 hours per week. 09:00 - 17:30 Monday - Thursday, 09:00 - 17:00 Friday
