Contract: Fixed‑term contract (secondment until October 2027). Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday, some evenings required).
About the role: Goldings House is a supported housing scheme that provides young people with a safe, supportive place to live while developing independence. As a Supported Housing Officer for Activities & Events, you will design and deliver a calendar of workshops, activities and events that help residents build life skills, confidence and independence. You will collaborate with other officers and the Foyer team to understand residents’ needs, co‑create opportunities and deliver sessions ranging from budgeting workshops to community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete sign‑up assessments with new residents to understand their needs and aspirations.
- Consult with young people to shape activities and influence services.
- Design and deliver a varied programme of activities within an agreed budget.
- Promote independence by helping residents develop essential life skills.
- Connect residents to local opportunities including employment, training and wellbeing services.
- Develop tools and workshops to help young people manage household finances confidently.
- Support residents preparing to move on, including housing options, home maintenance, budgeting, cooking and shopping.
- Plan and deliver learning sessions that build confidence and practical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Foyer team.

- Experience supporting or motivating vulnerable young people.
- Ability to communicate clearly and negotiate in challenging situations.
- A positive, proactive approach to problem‑solving and service improvement.

- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues.

- Relevant qualification in youth work, support work or similar, or willingness to work towards one.
