Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Painter Decorator Technician to join our Planned Works team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our housing stock, ensuring our homes are presented to the highest standards for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cyclical decoration works across internal and external areas of Paradigm properties
- Prepare surfaces, carry out minor repairs, and complete painting and decorating tasks to a professional finish
- Work with the Planned Works Manager and a wider team of property professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in line with health and safety standards
- Complete decoration works as instructed
- Prepare walls and surfaces prior to painting
- Carry out minor repairs and use appropriate tools safely
- Erect access equipment where required
- Monitor and manage stock levels
- Liaise with colleagues, contractors and residents
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety procedures
About You / Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in painting and decorating or at least five years of relevant experience
- Strong customer focus, excellent time management, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation
- Full, valid manual driving licence
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height using ladders or scaffolding
- Experience in housing or property services is desirable but not essential
- Take pride in your work and be committed to delivering a high standard of service
