The Vacancy
Paradigm has already made great strides forward in how well it uses data in the past six years: in the next two years we will deliver the biggest digital transformation programme in our history with data at its heart.
We need your help to ensure that our Executive, Leadership team and our business services get – and act on – the data-driven insights they need to make Paradigm even more efficient, customer-focused and compliant.
You’ll need to understand our processes so you can proactively recommend and drive insights & improvements using data & reporting. What you build will need to be what the business needs – and this may well be above and beyond what you’re asked for, so you’ll need to make proactive decisions to fill this ‘gap’ with your analysis and experience.
This role reports to the Data Engineering Manager: you will work within a small team of eight in a wider directorate of around 35 people, which is the IT and Business Transformation teams combined. Your work might involve a morning assisting one of the Executives in a report for Paradigm’s Board, and the afternoon assisting a gas engineer to automatically get the data they need on their phone to deliver their next jobs. The next day you might be preparing our regulatory reporting for the Housing Regulator, driving data cleansing by automating data quality checks or working on deadline driven projects.
About you
We are looking for someone with the ability to generate actionable insights from data for Paradigm, someone who has a passion for excellent service with practical experience in dashboard creation, to join our small, friendly team.
Working via a mixture of office and homeworking, you will be helping drive the future of Paradigm by enabling better decision making and more efficient delivery of our essential services.
Experience of report creation within a Housing environment is desirable but not essential – your proactive approach to generating insights is much more important.
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data, analysis and reporting and their relationship to business processes plus strong and clear communication skills; both verbal and written, with the talent to convey complex data into easily understandable information.
Our data is currently managed within a SQL Server Data Warehouse, with Power BI serving as our primary reporting tool. While technical proficiency in these platforms is beneficial, our transformation programme places greater emphasis on a genuine interest in data and its potential to drive meaningful business change. We\’re open to exploring new analytics solutions that support this vision.
About us
We are a Best Companies 2 STAR accredited organisation in recognition of our high employee engagement and offer a welcoming and friendly environment. We are clearly focussed on the delivery of our five-year corporate plan with ambitious and challenging objectives including improving our environment and sustainability targets to deliver quality homes to people who need them.
We’re proud to offer great benefits and have a committed approach to employee wellbeing. We offer an attractive range of benefits such as Health Cash Plan, Bonus potential, a competitive Pension and 25 days holiday on starting in addition to 3 days closure at Christmas, up to 3 paid Volunteer days p/a, free parking at our modern offices. Our full benefits package can be found below the job advert on our website.
We support flexible ways of working and welcome applications from all sections of the communities we work in.
