The Opportunity

Paradigm Employment Services are recruiting experienced Business Development Managers to join a growing UK workforce and recruitment solutions provider. Following continued expansion, our client is strengthening its regional business development team and is looking for commercially driven individuals who can identify opportunities, open doors and develop long-term client relationships across their designated territory.

These are employed, permanent positions offering the autonomy of a remote/field-based role, backed by an established recruitment and delivery operation. You do not necessarily need to come directly from recruitment. We are particularly interested in people with strong B2B sales experience and an established network within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, agriculture, farming, construction or related sectors.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of developing new business across your territory, identifying organisations with ongoing temporary, contract or permanent staffing requirements.

  • Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Building relationships with business owners, Operations Managers, HR teams and senior decision-makers.
  • Generating opportunities through telephone prospecting, networking, referrals, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings.
  • Understanding clients' workforce challenges and presenting appropriate recruitment solutions.
  • Developing your own pipeline and converting prospects into active accounts.
  • Building long-term commercial relationships and identifying opportunities for account growth.
  • Working closely with the recruitment/delivery team to ensure new clients receive an excellent service.
  • Attending client meetings and developing your presence across the local market.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline, activity and client information through the CRM.
