About the Opportunity

Paradigm Employment Services are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established international engineering and manufacturing business for an experienced R&D / Technical Manager. Reporting into the Technical Director, you'll lead a small technical team while overseeing the development of new electronic hardware products from concept through to manufacture. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small R&D technical team
  • Manage the development of new electronic hardware products
  • Produce technical specifications and product documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers throughout the product development process
  • Support PCB/electronic board development
  • Drive continuous product improvement and innovation
  • Work closely with production and technical teams to ensure successful product delivery

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience managing technical or engineering teams
  • Strong electronics design and product development experience
  • Knowledge of PCB/electronic board development
  • Experience working with suppliers and technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and product development
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
