We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality and Compliance Assurance Officer to support our continued commitment to regulatory excellence across both Ofsted and CQC-regulated services. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional who is passionate about driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance, and supporting operational teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
The Role: As the Quality and Compliance Assurance Officer, you will work closely with senior leaders, registered managers, and operational teams to monitor quality standards, conduct audits, support inspections, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement across our children's residential services, supported accommodation services, and adult care provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and unannounced quality assurance audits across all Para Group services.
- Monitor compliance against Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, and CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Support Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals in preparing for inspections and regulatory visits.
- Review service performance, incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and notifications to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Produce comprehensive audit reports, action plans, and recommendations for senior management.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of quality improvement plans.
- Support the development and review of policies, procedures, and operational practices.
- Undertake service visits, stakeholder consultations, and staff engagement activities to assess service quality.
- Assist with pre-registration processes for new services and regulatory submissions.
- Support recruitment, induction, and training activities relating to quality, compliance, safeguarding, and best practice.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and staff on regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and quality assurance documentation.
- Work collaboratively with external professionals, commissioners, and regulatory bodies where required.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, Leadership and Management, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within health and social care services, including children's and/or adult services.
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, Supported Accommodation Standards (where applicable), CQC Fundamental Standards and Key Lines of Enquiry, and safeguarding legislation and best practice.
- Experience conducting audits, compliance reviews, and quality assurance visits.
- Experience supporting services through inspections and regulatory compliance processes.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce detailed reports and action plans.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and support operational teams to achieve positive outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People or Adult Services).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Responsible Individual, or Quality Assurance professional.
- Experience working across both Ofsted and CQC-regulated environments.
- Internal auditing or quality management qualifications.
- Experience supporting new service registrations and mobilisation projects.
