Par5 Escapes is seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales Manager to lead our growing Golf Travel sales team from our London office. This is a hands-on leadership role combining personal sales responsibility with team management, coaching, and performance development. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing and mentoring a team of Golf Travel Consultants, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences from enquiry through to booking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
- Setting individual and team sales targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Conducting regular training sessions to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service standards, and CRM usage.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new team members as the business grows.
- Prospecting and converting new business opportunities while maintaining a personal sales pipeline.
- Managing inbound enquiries and converting customer interest into confirmed golf holiday bookings.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with individual clients, golf groups, travel agents, and corporate customers.
- Preparing tailored golf holiday proposals and quotations across our portfolio of destinations.
- Working closely with hotel, airline, transfer, and golf course partners to negotiate competitive rates and exclusive packages.
- Collaborating with the Operations and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery of customer bookings.
- Analysing sales performance data, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve conversion rates and profitability.
- Monitoring market developments, competitor activity, and customer preferences to help shape future product offerings.
Qualifications - Essential
- Minimum 5 years experience within the travel, hospitality, golf, leisure, or sports tourism sectors.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a sales leadership, sales manager, or team leader role.
- Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing a sales team.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused mindset.
