How will I be supporting the work of the Trust? Day Opportunities services deliver a varied and exciting programme of outcome focused learning, employment and social opportunities for our disabled customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person who has a commitment to improving outcomes for disabled people. You will work closely with Local Authorities, families, schools and partners to support disabled adults and young people get the best opportunities through our services at Papworth Trust.

What does this involve?

  • Working with the Local Authority and local stakeholders to gain referrals for our services.
  • Providing a single point of contact for customers wanting to join our services.
  • Assessing the customers’ needs and coordinating a programme of attendance as part of their personalised journey.
  • Building strong and positive relationships with customers, enabling them to make well informed choices and support them to achieve their goals.
  • Building strong relationships with families, colleagues and professionals to support the customers journey.
  • Conducting Initial Assessments, Risk Assessments, creating Support Plans and reviewing progress to ensure outcomes are achieved.
  • Embracing our values in all that you do is really important to succeeding in this role.

Who are we looking for? A team member who is confident, motivated and professional in their approach. Key to your success in this role will be an ability to:

  • Work effectively with customers with physical and learning disabilities.
  • Support an individual’s progression to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, networking and customer service skills.
  • Be empathetic and caring.
  • Be well organised and work calmly under pressure.
  • Manage your own workload to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Demonstrate strong administration and knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Support with other tasks required to meet the needs of the customer.

This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check.
