About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Maths Lead to provide strategic and practical leadership for Mathematics across Papworth Hall School. This is your chance to drive high standards, raise achievement, and shape a curriculum that is relevant, engaging, and responsive to the needs of our learners.
Working closely with senior leaders and fellow subject leads, you will:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Mathematics teaching, acting as the subject lead and specialist point of contact
- Monitor pupil progress and implement effective interventions to raise attainment and achievement
- Promote high academic standards and ambition across the school
- Develop, implement, and review curriculum schemes of work, resources, and teaching strategies
- Contribute subject-specific insight to school reviews and evaluations, supporting the School Development Plan
- Establish, implement, and review short- and long-term subject action plans aligned to whole-school priorities
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject
- Experienced in teaching Mathematics across multiple key stages
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ambitious, innovative, and committed to raising standards

Papworth Hall School is a specialist school in the village of Papworth, Cambridgeshire, for autistic children and young people aged 5-16 with complex communication, learning, and emotional needs. The school is set in a Grade II listed building and provides a personalised, autism-specific curriculum with a focus on communication, social, emotional, and life skills. Outcomes First Group and Options Autism work to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes and a high-quality safeguarding framework.
