Working closely with the Senior Designers, our Design Director, and cross-functional partners across Creative, Commercial, and Sourcing, you'll help bring thoughtful, high-quality lifestyle products to life as Papier continues to grow as a globally recognised brand.

About You

  • A solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes across both soft and hard goods and you have a strong interest in design-led lifestyle products.
  • You're comfortable researching trends and translating insights into thoughtful, commercially viable product ideas that feel relevant and aligned with Papier brand aesthetic.
  • Experience contributing to commercially successful, design-led products from concept through to production.
  • Solid skills in sketching, CAD with experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and working knowledge of 3D tools such as Rhino and Keyshot.
  • You're highly organised and able to manage your own workload, juggling multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • You're a clear and confident communicator, able to present ideas, share rationale and build strong working relationships.
  • You'll have experience reviewing samples for accuracy, design intent, and quality.
  • You're curious, proactive and motivated to keep learning - with a genuine passion for design and culture.
What You'll Do
  • Support the design and development of lifestyle stationery and accessory products, contributing to projects from initial research and ideation through to sampling and production.
  • Generate product concepts by creating sketches, mood boards, material explorations, and visual proposals that align with Papier's brand aesthetic and seasonal direction.
  • Take ownership of developing high-quality products, supporting prototyping, sampling, and design refinements.
  • Define product specifications, materials, finishes, and packaging requirements, ensuring designs are feasible, durable, and commercially viable.
  • Conduct trend, competitor, and market research, sharing insights and inspiration with the wider team to inform new product directions.
  • Prepare materials for internal reviews and presentations, including design decks, prototypes, and supporting documentation for sign-off meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across the company to ensure tasks and creative projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Manage your own projects and tasks, keeping track of deadlines, prioritising effectively, and planning ahead to support smooth delivery.
  • Support quality reviews and benchmarking to help ensure all products meet Papier's design, craftsmanship, and quality standards.
  • Stay aware of emerging design and lifestyle trends, using initiative to bring fresh ideas and creative energy that support the brand's growth.
