Head of Physical Performance and Nutrition

Lead the strategic and operational delivery of physical performance and nutrition across Welsh Rugby, including national teams and player pathways. Responsibilities include establishing system-wide performance standards, leading practitioners, integrating coaching, medical and performance services, directing monitoring and technology projects, supporting international player development, and contributing directly to senior international team preparation.

This role aligns with IQF Level 7 due to its strategic and operational leadership of physical performance and nutrition across the Welsh men's and women's national teams and pathways. The role defines system-wide performance standards, leads and develops a multidisciplinary practitioner team, manages departmental resources, leads performance monitoring and technology projects, and holds responsibility for the quality and consistency of performance provision across multiple programmes.

Salary and Role Alignment

Grey. Salary is not disclosed. This is a senior Level 7 international performance leadership position with system-wide strategic responsibility, practitioner leadership, departmental resource management and direct involvement in international rugby. IUSCA recommended minimum salary: Β£75,000 per year.
