We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Team Leader to lead our PM shift. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, ensuring compliance, and creating a positive, inclusive working environment where every team member can thrive. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the shift warehouse operatives and shift leaders and report any issues to the department managers.
- Adequately resource the shift to meet business requirements.
- Ensure the team have what they need in terms of daily equipment to perform their duties to meet requirements.
- Act as first point of contact for all staff absence and manage in line with company policy.
- Manage daily WMS related issues/queries.
- Ensure the department is 100% compliant at all times with food safety standards and NSF audit requirements.
- Manage the team performance in line with company standards.
- Recruit, interview and train new team members (FTE or FTC).
- Maintain a safe working environment by managing Health and Safety within the warehouse and site.
- Talent spot and develop team members to grow and progress within the company.
- Take an active role in the development of the shift leaders.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the department.
- Carry out investigations and disciplinary actions if required.
- Maintain and deliver business KPI structure to become more cost-effective and challenge any missed targets.
- Manage weekly timesheets in line with hours worked and hours recorded.
- Effectively manage all stock rotation based on the first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle in line with our WMS System.
- Liaise daily with the transportation team to accomplish timely dispatch times and efficient delivery service.
- Act as liaison with supplier deliveries and the Inventory Controller to resolve issues with incoming deliveries, quantity and quality discrepancies, rejections of in-bound freight, etc.
- Maintain daily efficient, accurate and timely picking and dispatch of all products keeping accurate records of all relative documentation (pick sheets, delivery and dispatch notes, inventory count forms, non-conformance and hold logs, etc.).
- Adhere to all Papa Johns International policies as stated in the company manuals and other communication.
Functional Skills:
- Strong Attention to detail: Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure accuracy; gets work right despite pressing deadlines; concentrates on routine work details and organizes and maintains a system of records; is alert and aware of surroundings and carefully monitors technical equipment or processes.
Education, Experience & Certifications:
- WMS Knowledge.
- Experience in line management of operatives.
- Strong grasp of Health and Safety principles and standards.
- Proficient Microsoft PC skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
